Summary: Information technology is the key to the success of organizations/institutions today. IT is connecting people, assets, and ideas to create workgroups and has given birth to virtual organizations. Use of Internet and private networks has created new dimensions in the business environment by increasing the competition, increasing the awareness about the company products among the business communities and consumers. It has also facilitated the companies to design better products and deliver better after sale services, thereby improving the overall business standards. However, security of a business transaction is the widely cited issue with online transactions.
