Besides the problem of measuring stock market development, there is no agreed methodology to relate it with growth. The present study attempts to calibrate a multifaceted model to measure the patterns of stock market development of select countries. Based on empirical findings, it suggests how to proceed with capital market reform agenda for the countries that are at different stages of economic development.
