Online resources: Summary: India has always believed in the middle path. It can be traced to the tendency in our cultural milieu to avoid extremes in any thought process. Intellectual property right (IPR) management is no exception. However, while the law is evolving, the practices are changing even faster. Indian companies have started suing each other. In the recent years, there have been several cases filed by Indian companies against other Indian companies demonstrating increasing awareness of the inventors of their rights. This Colloquium aims to look at different trends in the IP situation in India drawing upon both conceptual and empirical experiences. The invited contributions are meant to generate a better understanding among the readers of Vikalpa. Some of the recommendations, we believe, could lead to policy or procedural action.
