This study aimed to a) to understand and assess organisatioanl climate and its dimensions in NALCO and b) suggest interventions based on he findings. MAO-C, a standerdised questionnaire was used for a sample of thirty. The findings show that climate of NALCO is dominated by dependency and expert influence. Further, it is observed that the dominant characteristics perceived by the executives are dependency and control while it is achievement and expert influence by non-executives. Another findings states that the organizational climate is weak in the areas of achievement, extension and control. Based on these findings, the suggestions are made to make the organization more environment sensitive and customer responsive.
