The article presents a case study, which examines the turnaround of the Indian Railway including the adoption of dynamic pricing policy and rearrangement of tariff. It has generated considerable interest for, an organization, that was supposedly on the brink of a financial disaster. It is producing unforeseen cash surpluses and there is no doubt that the one that helped the most was permitting quantum increase in the loading of wagons beyond their carrying capacity (CC).
